Constellation Brands is a fortune 500 company beer, wine, and spirits company with 9,000+ employees and 100+ premier brands. Ambassador is an internal mobile app created to connect all of their employees to their product information, share company perks, and empower every member of Constellation Brands to be brand ambassadors.

 

Client Goals

  • Capture a look and feel that Constellation Brands employees want to engage with on a personal and professional level

  • Make finding Constellation Brands products easy

  • Create a minimal interface that doesn’t visually compete with the variety of vendors and products and allows them to shine.

 

The Project Scope

  • Redesigning Ambassador’s home screen, product search/sort, map of products/icons, events search/storage, list of favorites, and user profile.

  • Deliverables included mood boards, style tiles, hi-fidelity mockups, prototype, UI kit, and style guide.

 

The Approach

My collaborators and I reviewed the UX design work done prior to our involvement in the project. There were many different ideas and directions included in the UX packet. Using the feedback from our client, my collaborators and I put together wireframes that combined the most functional elements from the previous sets of tested UX wireframes. We then

expanded the scope of the project to better assess the website’s problems and our client’s needs. The original website was untested and we didn’t want to just apply a nice UI design on top of a wobbly UX structure so we did some preliminary UX research and development (i.e. competitive analysis, user testing and updated wireframes).
